Instructors Yannick & Laura

Yannick's dance journey began with learning choreographies from music videos on television, leading to a diverse exploration of hip hop, breakdance, house, contemporary dance, tango, and salsa. His ultimate passion became salsa, particularly mambo On2. As a dancer, he remains a perpetual student of salsa, always seeking new knowledge. As an instructor, he aims to share his passion for this unifying dance, making it accessible to everyone and dispelling the notion that "technique" has to be intimidating. ¡A bailar! Laura began her artistic journey with classical music at the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau, before turning to dance. Her love of music led her to Latin rhythms. She completed an intensive training program in Latin dance, working on salsa and mambo on2 techniques and exploring Afro-Cuban and African dances. Afro-Cuban and African (Guinean) dances. She deepens her knowledge by taking part in workshops in Montreal, New York and Cuba. Laura is also committed to contemporary dance, enabling her to expand her repertoire and develop her sense of movement. In teaching salsa, Laura aims to transmit respect for cultural traditions and techniques, and the pleasure of moving to the sound and rhythm of the music.
